Musnad Ahmad 1222:1

Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, he said: Sharik ibn Abdullah informed us, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil, from Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn Talhah, from his paternal uncle Imran ibn Talhah, from his mother Hamnah bint Jahsh, who said: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: "I have experienced a severe and unusual menstruation." He said: "Use cotton (as a pad)." I said: "It is more severe than that; I am gushing blood." He said: "Use a bandage (to secure the pad), and menstruate for six or seven days each month in the knowledge of Allah. Then perform ghusl, fast, and pray for twenty-three or twenty-four days. Perform ghusl for the Fajr prayer, delay the Dhuhr and hasten the Asr and perform ghusl, and delay the Maghrib and hasten the Isha and perform ghusl. This is the more beloved of the two matters to me." Yazid did not say on one occasion: "And perform ghusl for the Fajr prayer."
