Musnad Ahmad 271:1

'Ali ibn Thabit narrated to us, he said: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Nu'man ibn Ma'bad ibn Hawdhah al-Ansari narrated to me, from his father, from his grandfather: "That the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, commanded the use of scented ithmid (antimony) at the time of sleep."
