Hadith 382:1
Abu ‘Amir narrated to us, he said: ‘Ali narrated to us, from Yahya—meaning Ibn Abi Kathir—he said: Hayya al-Tamimi narrated to me, that his father informed him that he heard the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "There is nothing in the *hamah* (the owl/superstition regarding it), and the evil eye is true, and the truest of omens is *al-fa’l* (a good omen)."
