Hadith 946:5
'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, he said: I heard Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir narrating from Ibn Hazzal, from his father: That he mentioned something of the affair of Ma'iz to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to him: "If you had covered him with your garment, it would have been better for you."
حدثنا عبد الصمد، حدثنا شعبة، حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد، قال: سمعت محمد بن المنكدر، يحدث عن ابن هزال، عن أبيه: أنه ذكر شيئا من أمر ماعز للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال له رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " لو كنت سترته بثوبك، كان خيرا لك "
