Hadith of Hibban bin Bah al-Suda'i (RA) from the Prophet (SAW)

Hadith 504:1

Hassan narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, Bakr ibn Suwadah narrated to us, from Ziyad ibn Nu'aym, from Hibban ibn Buh al-Suda'i, a companion of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he said: My people disbelieved, and I was informed that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, had prepared an army against them. So I came to him and said: "My people are upon Islam." He said: "Is that so?" I said: "Yes." He said: So I followed him that night until the morning. When it became morning, I gave the call to prayer. He gave me a vessel from which I performed ablution. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, placed his fingers into the vessel, and springs gushed forth. He said: "Whoever among you wishes to perform ablution, let him perform ablution." So I performed ablution and prayed. He appointed me over them and gave me their charity. Then a man stood up to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said: "So-and-so has wronged me." The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "There is no good in leadership for a Muslim." Then a man came asking for charity, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to him: "Indeed, charity is a headache in the head, and a burning in the belly, or a disease." So I gave him my scroll, or the scroll of my leadership and my charity. He said: "What is the matter with you?" I said: "How can I accept it when I have heard from you what I have heard?" He said: "It is as you heard."
