Musnad Ahmad 298:12

'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, he said: My father narrated to us, Ayyub narrated to us, from Humayd, from Abu al-Dahma', from Hisham ibn 'Amir, who said: They complained to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, about the wounds they had. He said: "Dig, make [the graves] good, make them wide, and bury two or three in one grave, and put forward the one among them who knows the most Quran." My father died, and he was placed in front of two men.
