Hadith 621:2
Qutaybah ibn Sa'id narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from Aslam, that he heard Hubayb ibn Mughaffal, a companion of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, while he saw a man dragging his lower garment behind him and stepping on it out of pride. He said: "Subhan Allah, I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say: 'Whoever steps on it out of pride, he shall step on it in the Fire.'"
حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد، حدثنا ابن لهيعة، عن يزيد بن أبي حبيب، عن أسلم، أنه سمع هبيب بن مغفل صاحب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ورأى رجلا يجر إزاره خلفه، ويطؤه خيلاء ، فقال: سبحان الله، سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول: " من وطئه من الخيلاء، وطئه في النار "
