Hadith of Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman (RA) from the Prophet (SAW)
حديث حذيفة بن اليمان (1) عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 1034:100
Abu Ahmad narrated to us, Isra'il narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu al-Mughirah, from Hudhayfah, who said: "There was a sharpness in my tongue toward my family, though I did not extend it to anyone else. I mentioned that to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and he said: 'Where are you regarding seeking forgiveness, O Hudhayfah? Verily, I seek forgiveness from Allah one hundred times every day, and I repent to Him.'" He said: "I mentioned it to Abu Burdah ibn Abi Musa, and he narrated to me from Abu Musa that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: 'Verily, I seek forgiveness from Allah one hundred times every day and night, and I repent to Him.'"
حدثنا أبو أحمد، حدثنا إسرائيل، عن أبي إسحاق، عن أبي المغيرة، عن حذيفة قال: كان في لساني ذرب على أهلي لم أعده إلى غيره، فذكرت ذلك للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " أين أنت من الاستغفار يا حذيفة، إني لأستغفر الله كل يوم مائة مرة، وأتوب إليه " قال: فذكرته لأبي بردة بن أبي موسى فحدثني، عن أبي موسى، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " إني لأستغفر الله كل يوم وليلة مائة مرة وأتوب إليه "
