Hadith of Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman (RA) from the Prophet (SAW)

Hadith 1034:103

'Affan narrated to us, Hammad bin Salamah narrated to us, 'Asim bin Bahdalah informed us, from Zirr bin Hubaysh, from Hudhayfah: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was brought the Buraq, and it was a white, long beast, placing its hoof at the extent of its sight." He said: "Its back did not depart from him and Jibril until they came to Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem), and the gates of the heaven were opened for them, and they saw Paradise and the Fire." He said: And Hudhayfah said: "And he did not pray in Bayt al-Maqdis." Zirr said: I said: "Yes, he did pray." Hudhayfah said: "What is your name, O bald one? For I recognize your face, but I do not know your name." He said: I said: "I am Zirr bin Hubaysh." He said: "And what makes you know? And do you find that he prayed?" He said: I said: "Because of the saying of Allah: {Exalted is He who took His Servant by night} [Al-Isra: 1], the verse." He said: "And do you find that he prayed? If he had prayed in it, we would have prayed in it just as we pray in the Sacred Mosque." And it was said to Hudhayfah: "The beast was tied to the ring to which the prophets tie [their mounts]." Hudhayfah said: "Was he afraid that it would go away, when Allah had brought it to him?"
