Musnad Ahmad 1034:120

'Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, 'Asim ibn Bahdalah informed us, from Zirr ibn Hubaysh, who said: I ate the pre-dawn meal (suhur), then I set out for the mosque. I passed by the house of Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman and entered upon him. He ordered a milch camel, and it was milked, and a pot, and it was heated. Then he said, "Draw near and eat." I said, "I intend to fast." He said, "And I intend to fast." So we ate and drank. Then we came to the mosque, and the prayer was established. Then Hudhayfah said, "This is how the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, did with me." I said, "After the dawn (subh)?" He said, "Yes, it is the dawn, except that the sun had not risen." He said: And between the house of Hudhayfah and the mosque was like the distance between the mosque of Thabit and the garden of Hawt. Hammad also said, and Hudhayfah said: "This is how I did with the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and this is how the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, did with me."
