Musnad Ahmad 1034:144

'Abdullah ibn Yazid narrated to us, Haywah narrated to us, Bakr ibn 'Amr narrated to me, that Abu 'Abd al-Malik 'Ali ibn Yazid al-Dimashqi narrated to him, that it reached him from Hudhayfah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, that he said: "Indeed, the superiority of the house that is near—meaning to the mosque—over the house that is far is like the superiority of the warrior (ghazi) over the one who stays behind."
