Musnad Ahmad 1034:147

Muhammad ibn Abi ‘Adi narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Awn, from Muhammad, who said: Jundub said: When it was the day of al-Jur’ah, there was a man there. I said: "By Allah, blood will surely be shed today!" The man said: "Nay, by Allah." I said: "Yes, by Allah." He said: "Nay, by Allah." I said: "Yes, by Allah." He said: "Nay, by Allah, it is a hadith of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) that he narrated to me." I said: "By Allah, I see you as a bad companion since today; you hear me swearing, and you have heard it from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), yet you do not forbid me?" He said: Then I said: "What is the matter with me and anger?" He said: So I abandoned the anger and turned to ask him. He said: And behold, the man was Hudhayfah.
