Hadith of Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman (RA) from the Prophet (SAW)
Hadith 1034:160
Waki’ narrated to us, Shu’bah narrated to us, from al-Hakam, from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Layla, who said: Hudhayfah asked for a drink from a village headman or a non-Arab, so he brought him a silver vessel, and he threw it at him. Then he turned to the people and apologized, saying: "I only did this to him because I had forbidden him before this time. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade us from wearing silk and brocade, and [using] gold and silver vessels." And he said: "It is for them in this world, and it is for us in the Hereafter."
