Abu Ahmad narrated to us, Abd al-Jabbar ibn al-Abbas al-Shibami narrated to us, from Abu Qays—Abd al-Jabbar said: I think it is from Huzayl—who said: Hudhayfah stood as a preacher in the house of Amir ibn Hanzalah, in which were the Tamimi and the Mudari. He said: "A day will surely come upon Mudar when they will not leave a single servant of Allah who worships Him except that they will kill him, or they will be struck with a striking such that they will not be able to defend the top of a hill or the bottom of a hill." It was said: "O Abu Abd Allah, do you say this to your people, or to a people you are, you mean, from among them?" He said: "I do not say, I mean, except what I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say."
