Mus'ab ibn Salam narrated to us, Al-Ajal narrated to us, from Qays ibn Abi Muslim, from Rib'i ibn Hirash, who said: I heard Hudhayfah say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, struck examples for us: one, three, five, seven, nine, and eleven. He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, struck one example for us from them and left the rest. He said: "There was a people who were people of weakness and poverty, and a people of tyranny and hostility fought them. Allah caused the people of weakness to prevail over them. So they resorted to their enemy and employed them and gave them authority, and they angered Allah against themselves until the day they meet Him."
