Musnad Ahmad 1034:222

Mus'ab ibn Salam narrated to us, Al-Ajlah narrated to us, from Nu'aym ibn Abi Hind, from Rib'i ibn Hirash, who said: I sat with Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman and Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari. One of them said to the other: "Narrate what you heard from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." The other said: "No, rather you narrate." So one of them narrated, and the other confirmed him. He said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying: 'A man will be brought on the Day of Resurrection, and Allah will say: Look into his deeds. He will say: O Lord, I did not perform any good, except that I had wealth and I used to mix with people. Whoever was wealthy, I would make it easy for him, and whoever was in difficulty, I would grant him respite until he was in ease. Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will say: I am more entitled to be easy, so He will forgive him.'" He said: "You have spoken the truth; I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying this." Then he said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying: 'A man will be brought on the Day of Resurrection who had said to his family: When I die, burn me, then grind me, then face a stormy wind with me and scatter me. So Allah will gather him on the Day of Resurrection and say to him: Why did you do that? He will say: Out of fear of You. So He will forgive him.'" He said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying it."
