Musnad Ahmad 1034:35

Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from al-A’mash, from Abu Wa’il, from Hudhayfah, who said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood among us in a standing [position], and he did not leave anything that would occur before the Hour except that he mentioned it in that standing of his. Those who memorized it, memorized it, and those who forgot it, forgot it." Hudhayfah said: "Indeed, I see things that I had forgotten, and I recognize them just as a man recognizes the face of a man who had been absent from him, then he sees him and recognizes him." Waki’ said once: "Then he saw him and recognized him."
