Hadith of Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman (RA) from the Prophet (SAW)

Hadith 1034:46

Abu al-Nadr narrated to us, Shayban narrated to us, from Asim, from Zirr ibn Hubaysh, who said: I came upon Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman while he was narrating about the night Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was taken on the Night Journey. He was saying: "So he departed, or we departed, until we came to Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem)." He did not enter it. I said: "Rather, the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, entered it that night and prayed in it." He said: "What is your name, O bald one? For I recognize your face, but I do not know your name." I said: "I am Zirr ibn Hubaysh." He said: "And what is your knowledge that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, prayed in it that night?" I said: "The Quran informs me of that." He said: "Whoever speaks with the Quran has prevailed. Read." He said: So I read: {Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram} [Al-Isra: 1]. He said: "I did not find that he prayed in it." He said: "O bald one, do you find that he prayed in it?" I said: "No." He said: "By Allah, the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, did not pray in it that night. If he had prayed in it, prayer in it would have been prescribed for you, just as prayer in the Ancient House (the Kaaba) was prescribed for you. By Allah, they did not depart from the Buraq until the gates of heaven were opened for them, and they saw Paradise and Hell and the promise of the Hereafter, in its entirety. Then they returned to their starting point." He said: Then he laughed until I saw his molars. He said: "And they narrate that he tied it lest it flee from him? Yet it was only subjected to him by the Knower of the Unseen and the Witnessed." I said: "Abu Abdullah, what kind of beast is the Buraq?" He said: "A white beast, long, its stride is like this—the extent of its vision."
