Musnad Ahmad 1034:89

Husayn ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Isra'il narrated to us, from Maysarah ibn Habib, from al-Minhal ibn 'Amr, from Zirr ibn Hubaysh, from Hudhayfah, who said: My mother asked me: "How long has it been since you last saw the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?" I said to her: "It has been such and such a time." He said: She scolded me and insulted me. I said to her: "Leave me, for I am going to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, to pray Maghrib with him, and then I will not leave him until he asks for forgiveness for me and for you." He said: So I came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and prayed Maghrib with him. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, then prayed until Isha. Then he turned away, and I followed him. An obstacle appeared before him, and he spoke privately with it. Then it went away, and I followed it. He heard my voice and said: "Who is this?" I said: "Hudhayfah." He said: "What is the matter with you?" I told him about the situation, and he said: "May Allah forgive you and your mother." Then he said: "Did you see the obstacle that appeared before me just now?" I said: "Yes." He said: "It was an angel from the angels who had never descended to the earth before this night. He asked his Lord for permission to greet me and to give me the glad tidings that al-Hasan and al-Husayn are the masters of the youth of the people of Paradise, and that Fatimah is the mistress of the women of the people of Paradise."
