Musnad Ahmad 1034:96

Hassan narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, Ibn Hubayrah narrated to us, that he heard Abu Tamim al-Jayshani say: Sa'id informed me that he heard Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was absent from us one day, and he did not come out until we thought he would not come out. When he came out, he performed a prostration, and we thought that his soul had been taken during it. When he raised his head, he said: "My Lord consulted me regarding my Ummah, as to what I should do with them. I said: 'Whatever You will, O my Lord; they are Your creation and Your servants.' He consulted me a second time, and I said the same to Him. Then He said: 'I will not cause you grief regarding your Ummah, O Muhammad.' And He gave me glad tidings that the first of my Ummah to enter Paradise will be seventy thousand with me, and with every thousand, seventy thousand, upon whom there is no reckoning. Then He sent [an angel] to me and said: 'Call upon Me and you will be answered, and ask and you will be given.' I said to His messenger: 'Will my Lord grant my request?' He replied: 'He did not send me to you except to grant you.' And my Lord has indeed granted me—and it is no boast—and He forgave me my past and future sins while I am walking, alive and healthy. And He granted me that my Ummah will not suffer from hunger, nor will they be overcome. And He granted me al-Kawthar, which is a river from Paradise flowing into my basin. And He granted me honor and victory, and terror [of my Ummah] travels before my Ummah for a month's distance. And He granted me that I am the first of the prophets to enter Paradise. And He made the spoils of war lawful and good for me and my Ummah, and He made lawful for us much of what was made strict for those before us, and He did not place upon us any hardship."
