Hadith 334:16
Hammad ibn Mas'adah narrated to us, from Yazid—meaning ibn Abi 'Ubayd—from Salamah, who said: My uncle 'Amir came to me and said, "Give me your weapon." He said: So I gave it to him. He said: Then I came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "O Messenger of Allah, provide me with a weapon." He said: "Where is your weapon?" He said: I said, "I gave it to my uncle 'Amir." He said: "I find no likeness for you except the one who said: 'Grant me a brother more beloved to me than my own self.'" He said: So he gave me his bow, his shield, and three arrows from his quiver.
