Hadith 334:3

Ja'far ibn 'Awn narrated to us, he said: Abu 'Umays narrated to us, from Iyas ibn Salamah ibn al-Akwa', from his father, who said: A spy for the polytheists came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. He said: When he had eaten, he slipped away. He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Pursue the man and kill him." He said: The people rushed. He said: My father used to outrun the horse in sprinting. He said: So he outpaced them to him. He said: He took hold of the rein of his she-camel or its halter. He said: Then he killed him. He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, gave him his spoils (salab).
