Hadith 790:17
Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, and Yazid narrated to us, Shu‘bah informed us, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan, from ‘Imran ibn Husayn, who said: "The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) forbade us from cauterization, yet we cauterized, so we neither succeeded nor prospered."
