Musnad Ahmad 790:182

Mu'ammal narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Khaythama, who said: Imran ibn Husayn passed by a man who was telling stories (preaching), so Imran said: "To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return. I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: 'Recite the Quran and ask Allah by it before a people come who will ask the people by it.'"
