Hadith 790:62
Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, Al-A'mash narrated to us, from Jami' ibn Shaddad, from Safwan ibn Muhriz, from 'Imran ibn Husayn, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Accept the glad tidings, O Banu Tamim." They said: "You have given us glad tidings, so give us [something material]." He said: "Accept the glad tidings, O people of Yemen." They said: "We have accepted, so tell us about the beginning of this matter, how it was?" He said: "Allah was [there] before everything, and His Throne was upon the water, and He wrote in the Preserved Tablet the mention of everything." He said: Then someone came to me and said: "O 'Imran, your she-camel has slipped from its hobble." He said: So I went out, and behold, the mirage was cutting off [the view] between me and it. He said: So I went out in pursuit of it, and I do not know what happened after I left.
