Hadith 790:71
'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Sufyan informed us, from al-A'mash, from Khaythama, or from a man, from 'Imran ibn Husayn, who said: He passed by a man who was reciting [the Quran] to a group of people. When he finished, he asked [for payment/charity]. 'Imran said: "To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return. I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: 'Whoever recites the Quran, let him ask Allah by it, for there will soon come a people who recite the Quran and ask the people by it.'"
حدثنا عبد الرزاق، أخبرنا سفيان، عن الأعمش، عن خيثمة، أو عن رجل، عن عمران بن حصين قال: مر برجل وهو يقرأ على قوم، فلما فرغ سأل فقال عمران: إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون، إني سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " من قرأ القرآن فليسأل الله به، فإنه سيجيء قوم يقرءون القرآن يسألون الناس به "
