Hadith 790:85
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Husayn al-Mu'allim, 'Abdullah ibn Buraydah narrated to us, from 'Imran ibn Husayn, that he asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, about a man’s prayer while sitting. He said: "Whoever prays standing, it is better. A man’s prayer while sitting is half of his prayer while standing, and his prayer while lying down is half of his prayer while sitting."
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد، عن حسين المعلم، حدثنا عبد الله بن بريدة، عن عمران بن حصين، أنه سأل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن صلاة الرجل قاعدا فقال: " من صلى قائما فهو أفضل، وصلاة الرجل قاعدا على النصف من صلاته قائما، وصلاته نائما على النصف من صلاته قاعدا "
