Hadith 790:87
Yahya narrated to us, from Hisham, Qatadah narrated to us, from al-Hasan, from Imran ibn Husayn, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said while he was on one of his journeys, and the pace of his companions had varied: He raised his voice with these two verses: "O mankind, fear your Lord. Indeed, the convulsion of the [final] Hour is a terrible thing. On the day you see it, every nursing mother will be distracted..." [Al-Hajj: 1-2], until he reached the end of the two verses. He said: When his companions heard that, they urged their mounts, for they knew that he was about to say something. When they gathered around him, he said: "Do you know what day that is?" He said: "That is the day when Adam is called, and his Lord will call him and say: 'O Adam, send forth the contingent for the Fire.' He will say: 'O Lord, and what is the contingent of the Fire?' He will say: 'From every thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine are in the Fire, and one is in Paradise.'" He said: His companions were struck with despair, to the point that they did not show a smile. When he saw that, he said: "Act and have glad tidings, for by the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, you are surely among two creations that never existed with anything except that they increased it: Gog and Magog, and those who perished from the children of Adam and the children of Iblis." He said: Then they were relieved. Then he said: "Act and have glad tidings, for by the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, you are among the people only like a mole on the side of a camel, or a mark on the foreleg of a beast."
حدثنا يحيى، عن هشام، حدثنا قتادة، عن الحسن، عن عمران بن حصين أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال وهو في بعض أسفاره: وقد تفاوت بين أصحابه السير رفع بهاتين الآيتين صوته {يا أيها الناس اتقوا ربكم إن زلزلة الساعة شيء عظيم، يوم ترونها تذهل} [الحج: 2] حتى بلغ آخر الآيتين قال: فلما سمع أصحابه بذلك حثوا المطي، وعرفوا أنه عند قول يقوله، فلما تأشبوا حوله قال: " أتدرون أي يوم ذاك؟ " قال: " ذاك يوم ينادى آدم فيناديه ربه فيقول: يا آدم ابعث بعثا إلى النار. فيقول: يا رب وما بعث النار؟ قال: من كل ألف تسعمائة وتسعة وتسعين في النار، وواحد في الجنة ". قال: فأبلس أصحابه حتى ما أوضحوا بضاحكة، فلما رأى ذلك قال: " اعملوا وأبشروا فوالذي نفس محمد بيده إنكم لمع خليقتين ما كانتا مع شيء قط إلا كثرتاه يأجوج ومأجوج، ومن هلك من بني آدم وبني إبليس قال: فأسري عنهم، ثم قال: " اعملوا وأبشروا، فوالذي نفس محمد بيده ما أنتم في الناس إلا كالشامة في جنب البعير، أو الرقمة في ذراع الدابة "
