Hadith 790:89
Yahya ibn Sa’id narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us, Yahya narrated to us, from Abu Qilabah, from Abu al-Muhallab, that ‘Imran ibn Husayn narrated to him that a woman from Juhaynah came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, pregnant from adultery. She said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have committed a transgression that warrants a prescribed punishment, so execute it upon me." He called her guardian and said: "Treat her well, and when she delivers, bring her to me." He did so, and he (the Prophet) ordered her, so her clothes were tied securely upon her, then he ordered her and she was stoned. Then he prayed over her. ‘Umar said: "Do you pray over her when she has committed adultery?" He said: "She has repented with a repentance that, if it were divided among seventy of the people of Medina, it would suffice them. And have you found anything better than that she gave her soul for the sake of Allah?"
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد، حدثنا هشام، حدثنا يحيى، عن أبي قلابة، عن أبي المهلب، أن عمران بن حصين حدثه، أن امرأة أتت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم من جهينة حبلى من الزنا فقالت: يا رسول الله، إني أصبت حدا فأقمه علي. قال: فدعا وليها فقال: " أحسن إليها، فإذا وضعت فأتني بها ". ففعل فأمر بها فشكت عليها ثيابها، ثم أمر بها فرجمت، ثم صلى عليها فقال عمر: تصلي عليها وقد زنت فقال: " لقد تابت توبة لو قسمت بين سبعين من أهل المدينة لوسعتهم، وهل وجدت أفضل من أن جادت بنفسها لله؟ "
