Musnad Ahmad 459:22

Al-Hakam ibn Nafi' narrated to us, he said: Isma'il ibn 'Ayyash narrated to us, from Buhayr ibn Sa'd, from Khalid ibn Ma'dan, from Jubayr ibn Nufayr, from al-'Irbad ibn Sariyah, who said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed for the first row three times, and for the one following it once."
