Hadith 153:1
Sufyan narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Malik ibn Nawfal ibn Musahiq mentioned it—Sufyan said: He found him to be a Badrī (a veteran of the Battle of Badr)—from a man from Muzaynah, who is called Ibn 'Isam, from his father, and he was one of the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said: When the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, would send out a military detachment, he would say: "If you see a mosque or hear a caller (to prayer), do not kill anyone." Ibn 'Isam said, from his father: "The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, sent us in a military detachment."
حدثنا سفيان، قال: ذكره عبد الملك بن نوفل بن مساحق - قال سفيان: وجده بدري - عن رجل من مزينة، يقال له: ابن عصام، عن أبيه، وكان من أصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا بعث السرية يقول: " إذا رأيتم مسجدا أو سمعتم مناديا، فلا تقتلوا أحدا " قال ابن عصام: عن أبيه " بعثنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في سرية "
