Hadith 331:3
Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, he said: Sufyan ibn Husayn informed us, from al-Zuhri, from Mahmud ibn al-Rabi’—or al-Rabi’ ibn Mahmud, Yazid was in doubt—from ‘Itban ibn Malik, who said: I came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and said: "I am a man who has lost his sight, and between me and you is this valley and darkness. I asked him to come and pray in my house so that I might take his place of prayer as a place of prayer." He promised me that he would do so. So he came, along with Abu Bakr and ‘Umar. The Ansar heard of it and came to him. One man among them, who was called Malik ibn al-Dukhshun, stayed behind, and he was suspected of hypocrisy. They waited for food and discussed him among themselves, saying: "He did not stay behind, knowing that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was visiting us, except for his hypocrisy." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was praying. When he finished, he said: "Woe to him! Did he not testify that there is no god but Allah, sincerely? For Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has forbidden the Fire to whoever testifies to that."
