Hadith 650:8
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, he said: I heard Khalid narrating from Yazid ibn Abdullah ibn al-Shikhkhir, from Mutarrif ibn al-Shikhkhir, from Iyad ibn Himar, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, that he said: "Whoever finds a lost item, let him have two men of integrity bear witness, or one man of integrity—Khalid is the one who doubted—and let him not conceal it, and let him not hide it. If its owner comes, then he is more entitled to it; otherwise, it is the wealth of Allah, which He gives to whom He wills."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر، حدثنا شعبة، قال: سمعت خالدا، يحدث عن يزيد بن عبد الله بن الشخير، عن مطرف بن الشخير، عن عياض بن حمار، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، أنه قال: " من التقط لقطة، فليشهد ذوي عدل، أو ذا عدل خالد الشاك، ولا يكتم، ولا يغيب، فإن جاء صاحبها فهو أحق بها، وإلا فهو مال الله يؤتيه من يشاء "
