Hadith 69:1
Rawh narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, he said: 'Amr ibn Dinar informed me that Abu al-Minhal informed him that Iyas ibn 'Abd, one of the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "Do not sell the surplus of water," for the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade the selling of water. He said: And the people were selling the water of the Euphrates, so he forbade them.
حدثنا روح، حدثنا ابن جريج، قال: أخبرني عمرو بن دينار أن أبا المنهال، أخبره أن إياس بن عبد من أصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: لا تبيعوا فضل الماء، " فإن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم نهى عن بيع الماء " قال: والناس يبيعون ماء الفرات فنهاهم
