Abdullah narrated to us, Abu Ja'far Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Razi narrated to us, Abu Abd al-Samad al-'Ammi narrated to us, Abd al-Malik ibn Umayr narrated to us, from Jabir ibn Samurah, who said: I was with my father in the presence of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "This religion will continue to be mighty"—or he said: "The people will continue to be in a state of goodness"—Abu Abd al-Samad was in doubt—"until twelve caliphs." Then he said a hidden word. I said to my father: "What did he say?" He said: "All of them are from Quraysh."
