Abdullah narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr al-Muqaddami narrated to me, Zuhayr ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Dawud ibn Abi Hind narrated to us, from Amir—meaning al-Sha’bi—from Jabir ibn Samurah, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: "This matter will continue to be mighty until twelve caliphs." Then the people shouted and made a clamor, and he said a hidden word. I said to my father: "O father, what did he say?" He said: "All of them are from Quraysh."
