'Abdullah narrated to us, 'Ubaydullah al-Qawariri narrated to me, Salim bin Akhdar narrated to us, from Ibn 'Awn, from al-Sha'bi, who said: I heard Jabir bin Samurah saying: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "This religion will continue to be mighty and fortified, and they will be victorious over those who oppose them, until twelve caliphs." He said: Then the people began to stand up and sit down.
