Yahya narrated to us, from Shu'bah, Simak narrated to me, from Jabir ibn Samurah, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, used to deliver the khutbah (sermon) on Friday while standing, then he would sit, then he would stand."
