Abdullah narrated to us, Amr al-Naqid narrated to us, Ishaq bin Mansur al-Saluli narrated to us, Isra'il narrated to us, from Ash'ath bin Abi al-Sha'tha', from Ja'far—meaning Ibn Abi Thawr—from his grandfather Jabir bin Samurah, who said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded us to perform ablution after eating camel meat, and not to perform ablution after eating mutton, and to pray in the sheepfolds, and not to pray in the resting places of camels." Abdullah narrated to us, he said: I heard Hajjaj bin al-Sha'ir asking my father, and he said: "Which of them is more beloved to you, Amr al-Naqid or al-Mu'ayti?" He replied: "Amr al-Naqid used to strive for truthfulness."
