Musnad Ahmad 907:185

'Abdullah narrated to us, he said: I heard some of our companions saying, on the authority of 'Ali ibn al-Madini, he said: Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah said to me: "Do you have a hadith better than this and with a better chain of narration than this?" He said: I said: "What is it?" He said: "'Ubaydullah ibn Abi Yazid narrated to me, from his father, from Umm Ayyub: That the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, stayed with Abu Ayyub." Then he mentioned this hadith of the garlic. He said: I said to him: "Yes: Shu'bah, from Simak ibn Harb, from Jabir ibn Samurah: That the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, stayed with Abu Ayyub." So he remained silent.
