Hadith of Jabir ibn Samurah al-Suwa'i (RA)
Hadith 907:78
Abdullah narrated to us, Abdullah ibn Amir ibn Zurarah narrated to us, Sharik narrated to us, from Simak, from Jabir ibn Samurah: "A man from the companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was wounded, and the wound caused him pain. So he crawled to some arrowheads and slaughtered himself with them. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, did not pray over him." And he said: "All of that is a disciplinary action from him." This is how Abdullah ibn Amir dictated it to us from his book, and I do not consider this addition—his saying: "That is a disciplinary action from him"—to be anything other than the words of Sharik.
