Musnad Ahmad 907:94

'Abdullah narrated to us, 'Ali ibn Thabit al-Jazari narrated to us, from Nasih Abu 'Abdullah, from Simak ibn Harb, from Jabir ibn Samurah, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "For a man to discipline his child, or for one of you to discipline his child, is better for him than to give in charity half a sa' every day." 'Abdullah said: "My father did not include this hadith in his Musnad because of Nasih, for he is weak in hadith, and he dictated it to me in the Nawadir."
