Musnad Ahmad 851:2

Yazid narrated to us, Salam ibn Miskin informed us, from Aqil ibn Talhah, Abu Juray al-Hujaymi narrated to us, he said: I came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and said: "O Messenger of Allah, we are a people from the desert, so teach us something by which Allah may benefit us." He said: "Do not belittle anything of good, even if it is to pour from your bucket into the vessel of one seeking water, or to speak to your brother while your face is brightened toward him. And beware of letting the lower garment hang low (isbal), for it is of arrogance, and Allah does not love arrogance. And if a man insults you for something he knows about you, do not insult him for something you know about him, for its reward is for you, and its burden is upon the one who said it."
