Musnad Ahmad 851:3

'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, Salam narrated to us, 'Aqil ibn Talhah narrated to us, from Abu Jurayy al-Hujaymi, that he came to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) among some people from the desert dwellers. They said: "We are from the desert dwellers," and he mentioned the hadith, except that he said: "Do not revile him for what you know of him, for the reward of that is for you, and its burden is upon him."
