Hadith 223:6
Ishaq ibn Isa narrated to us, he said: Malik informed me, from Abu al-Nadr, from Zur'ah ibn Jarhad al-Aslami, from his father, and he was one of the People of the Bench (Ahl al-Suffah), who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was sitting, and he saw my thigh uncovered. He said: "Cover yourself, for do you not know that the thigh is an 'awrah (a private part)?"
حدثنا إسحاق بن عيسى، قال: أخبرني مالك، عن أبي النضر، عن زرعة بن جرهد الأسلمي، عن أبيه، وكان من أصحاب الصفة، قال: جلس رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فرأى فخذي منكشفة، فقال: " خمر عليك أما علمت أن الفخذ عورة "
