And from the Hadith of Jarir ibn Abdullah (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
ومن حديث جرير بن عبد الله، (1) عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 770:100
Waki' narrated to us, from Isra'il, from Abu Ishaq, from 'Ubayd Allah ibn Jarir, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is no group of people among whom sins are committed, while they are more powerful and more numerous than those committing them, yet they do not change it, except that Allah the Exalted covers them all with His punishment."
حدثنا وكيع، عن إسرائيل، عن أبي إسحاق، عن عبيد الله بن جرير، عن أبيه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " ما من قوم يعمل فيهم بالمعاصي هم أعز منهم وأمنع، لا يغيرون إلا عمهم الله تعالى بعقابه "
