Musnad Ahmad 770:30

Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, Yunus narrated to us, from al-Mughirah ibn Shabil ibn 'Awf, from Jarir ibn 'Abd Allah, who said: When I drew near to Medina, I made my riding beast kneel, then I opened my saddlebag, then I put on my garment. He said: So I entered while the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was delivering the sermon. I greeted the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and the people cast their eyes at me. I said to the person sitting next to me: "Did the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, mention anything about my affair?" And he mentioned the like of it.
