Musnad Ahmad 770:58

Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Abu Hayyan, who said: Al-Dahhak, the maternal uncle of al-Mundhir ibn Jarir, narrated to me, from al-Mundhir ibn Jarir, from Jarir, who said: I was with my father, Jarir, in al-Bawazij in the Sawad, when the cattle returned in the evening. He saw a cow that he did not recognize, so he said: "What is this cow?" It was said: "A cow that joined the cattle." He ordered it to be driven away until it disappeared from sight. Then he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: "None shelters a stray except one who is astray."
