Hadith 429:14
Abu Amir narrated to us, he said: Zuhayr ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil, from Muhammad ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im, from his father, that a man came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "O Messenger of Allah, which of the lands is the worst?" He said: He replied, "I do not know." When Gabriel, peace be upon him, came to him, he said: "O Gabriel, which of the lands is the worst?" He said: "I do not know until I ask my Lord, the Mighty and Majestic." Gabriel, peace be upon him, departed, then remained for as long as Allah willed him to remain. Then he came and said: "O Muhammad, you asked me which of the lands is the worst, and I said: I do not know. And I asked my Lord, the Mighty and Majestic: Which of the lands is the worst? He said: Its marketplaces."
حدثنا أبو عامر، قال: حدثنا زهير بن محمد، عن عبد الله بن محمد بن عقيل، عن محمد بن جبير بن مطعم، عن أبيه، أن رجلا أتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: يا رسول الله، أي البلدان شر؟ قال: فقال: " لا أدري " فلما أتاه جبريل عليه السلام قال: " يا جبريل، أي البلدان شر؟ " قال: لا أدري حتى أسأل ربي عز وجل. فانطلق جبريل عليه السلام، ثم مكث ما شاء الله أن يمكث، ثم جاء، فقال: يا محمد، إنك سألتني أي البلدان شر، فقلت: لا أدري، وإني سألت ربي عز وجل: أي البلدان شر؟ فقال: أسواقها . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
