Hadith 429:16
'Abd al-Samad and 'Affan narrated to us, they said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from 'Amr ibn Dinar, from Nafi' ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was on a journey, and he said: "Who will watch for us tonight so that we do not sleep through the dawn prayer?" Bilal said: "I will." So he faced the rising of the sun, and sleep overcame them. Nothing awakened them except the heat of the sun. They stood up and performed it, then they performed ablution, and Bilal gave the call to prayer, and they prayed the two rak'ahs, then they prayed the dawn prayer.
حدثنا عبد الصمد، وعفان، قالا: حدثنا حماد بن سلمة، عن عمرو بن دينار، عن نافع بن جبير بن مطعم، عن أبيه، قال: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في سفر، فقال: " من يكلؤنا الليلة لا نرقد عن صلاة الفجر؟ " فقال بلال: أنا. فاستقبل مطلع الشمس، فضرب على آذانهم، فما أيقظهم إلا حر الشمس، فقاموا فأدوها، ثم توضئوا فأذن بلال، فصلوا الركعتين، ثم صلوا الفجر
